Robert Moyer

Board Member, Co-Vice President
Windy City Habitat for Humanity

Robert Moyer joined Windy City Habitat for Humanity in 2012, working with the Restore committee. Bob believes that home ownership has historically been a driver not only net worth growth but also family stability and is a key element to the betterment of families, neighborhoods and the larger community. He first became involved with Habitat for Humanity on a Washington DC build and was encouraged to further involvement by the enthusiasm of the volunteers and staff and, even more importantly, by the hopefulness and commitment of the families involved.

Bob and his wife, Anita Nagler, live in the Lincoln Park area, and have been involved in a number of non-profit organizations, including the Oxbow Sumer School of Art, Field Museum Founders Council, IIT University, Illinois Humanities Council, and Sacred Heart Schools. Bob retired in 2006 after 21 years at Driehaus Capital Management, a Chicago based investment management company, where he was CEO and President. Before this he was a senior supervisory attorney with the SEC.

He has a BSBA (accounting) from Roosevelt University and a JD from Loyola Law School of Chicago.
